Community Based Health Care (CBHC)
During the mobilisation of community health workers in the year 2014, The number of Volunteers declined and the programme lobbied the District to permit us train the Village Health workers who were already working in Wakisi and Najjembe but had not had the training. This therefore led to the expansion of the Programme operational area from 30 zones in Njeru Town council to cover 43 zones to include Wakisi and Najjembe Sub counties in Buikwe District. This therefore calls for more community based health interventions in the Wakisi community.
