Functional Adult Literacy (FAL)
In the baseline survey conducted in Wakisi Parish in Wakisi Sub County in November 2015, Wakisi Parish is the least literate in all the Parishes of Wakisi Sub County. The School distribution especially with Government aid, the Parish has only one secondary school. Overall most of the School going children only complete Primary level. While as many respondents reported having had Primary Level Education, many would not disclose the class they had in primary as they shied away, its true therefore that some only had up to primary two which is too minimal for one to be considered literate. Therefore there is need renowned evidence that Illiteracy was high and therefore a need for Functional Adult Literacy classes.
